Magnetize Your Business Opportunities, Maximize Your Potential

Just about every adult should have his or her own business cards. It doesn’t matter if you’re a dog walker, a registered nurse, or a CEO of a giant technology company. Trust me, you need business cards! Whether you’re at a business luncheon to talk shop or meeting friends for an impromptu get-together and are introduced to someone who could be a potential business lead, it’s imperative that you have business cards on hand. But what happens to that card once you press it into the hand of someone you view as a possible opportunity? Does it go into a business card holder? Get smashed into a pocket? Become the receptacle for a chewed up piece of gum? How many opportunities have been wasted because business cards were lost, misplaced, or accidentally tossed into the trash? There’s definitely no answer to that, but don’t risk a chance of making a great contact or increasing revenues at your company. Instead of standard cards, distribute full color magnetic business cards. The real question is can you afford not to?

Is that a Monkey on My Back? No, It's My Backpack

My thoughts have turned towards backpacks lately, and not for the reason you might suspect. Sure, the kids are getting ready to head back to school (actually, some have already returned to the classroom), but that doesn’t mean that backpacks are strictly for the youngster set. In fact, I consider myself a fan of them. But aren’t backpacks for transporting books to classrooms for those in grades between kindergarten and college? Not so! Backpacks are wonderful because they can be jammed with all sorts of stuff, yet keep the weight off of your arms and ensure that your hands are free – which is great when you’re in a large amusement park with a set of twin boys in tow. The point is, you can keep all of your important stuff – wallet, medication, bottled water, sunglasses, extra clothing, and cell phone – safely on your back and still be able to maneuver through crowds and hold your child’s hand. Gimmees has a lot of different promotional backpacks to pick from to meet all of your needs including Daytripper backpacks, High Sierra Impact Daypacks, and Ripstop Computer Sling Bags. Anyway, like I said, I am a backpack lover. And, I’d like to give a big thank you to the late Asher “Dick” Kelty, who is credited with creating lightweight backpacks.

Smokin' Hot Yet Downright Cool

I’m a big fan of t-shirts. I think they look nice with a pair of jeans, come in various colors, and are a perfect complement to any wardrobe for various ages. I love t-shirts so much that I now own several sets of t-shirt sheets for my bed, so that I can feel comfy in comfort and softness whenever I lie down for some shut eye. But enough about my bed sheets. The newest feature in the basic t-shirt is this thing called “wicking.” No, wicking has nothing to do with a candle wick. Instead, it keeps sweat and moisture away from you – while you are wearing the shirt – and that equates to you, the wearer, staying cooler, drier, and – dare I say it – less stinky and smelly. If you are less damp and your body is cooler, that means you’ll feel better even if you are taking a jog on a humid, 90+ degree day. Cooler? Drier? Less smell? I’m sold! Here are some options for you: JERZEES Moisture Management Shirt, Sport-Tek Dry Zone Short Sleeve Raglan T-shirt, and the Sport-Tek Short Sleeve Compression T-shirt. Even if I am not personally wearing these tees, I’ll be so much happier when I have to wash the dirty laundry.

The Writing Is on the Wall --- Just Read the Sign

Do you have something you want or need to say? Does your company have a message that it has to promote to the community? Maybe the local team wants to drum up more fans and more sponsors for the football season. Whatever your message is, you need to make sure that it’s getting noticed by the public. Whether it is a yard sale, a mattress sale, a new restaurant opening up in town or a contest, you need to have a sign promoting your message. And Gimmees can help you with this! Give us your message and we’ll get it printed up on any one of the signs in our online catalog. We’ve got rally signs, yard signs, and hand fans. Any one of these can be customized the way you like, and we’re waiting to answer your questions. So, put your message on a sign and put it out there! You’ll get more business and more business equates to more money. It’s funny how something as simple and inexpensive as a sign can mean more opportunities for you. Don’t wait. Give us your words. We’ve got your sign!

My Notes Just Sparkle wtih Creativity!

Red. Black. Blue. You’re probably thinking that I’ll be writing about bruises, right? Wrong! These are just the typical colors of pens that you’ll find in any given desk in any given cubicle at any given company. And could writing notes or jotting down your thoughts or brainstorming in a meeting be any more boring? Why not add some jazz, some pizzazz to your work or musings? Sure, you might need to wear heels or a dress pants to the office, but color and sparkle should be included within your repertoire every single day and at all costs. And that’s why I’m a fanatic when it comes to cool pens in a rainbow of colors. Take the USA Gel Pen Metallic and Neon Pens for example. You can do a crossword puzzle in purple, sign off on your daughter’s homework in hot pink, and write out your grocery list in lime green. Oh, and don’t leave these pens lying around at home so that your kids swipe them. Bring them to the office to bring color and fun to your 9 to 5 day.
